As adults, we do all kinds of things for ourselves. And we are expected to do so. But, as we get older, we may lose the ability to do one or more of these things. An example is a parent who can no longer pay bills correctly. Maybe they get confused. This creates a ‘gap’ that could cause harm to the elderly adult.
If you are a child, or another loved one, you may be called upon to stand in that gap and solve the problem. You may be a spouse, but more likely a daughter. You may be the oldest son. Someone will be expected to step up and save the day. Your responsibility will be demanding. It will be easy to become overwhelmed. But with some planning and tools, you could render a valuable service to that loved one.
