Nicole L. Voigt is the founding past president, and current chair of the technology committee, of the Rotary eClub of Hunterdon Horizon.   The eClub is Rotary District 7510 (central NJ)’s first eClub.  The eClub has launched the first phase of its new website.  The website features a public portion with information about the eClub and upcoming events, and a private portion where member Rotarians may participate in meetings, chatroom style.   The second phase of the website will focus on improving the experience of guest Rotarians from other clubs, who wish to attend an eClub meeting.  Guest Rotarians will have access to a more limited portion of the online forums.  Through the website, anyone may make donations to the eClub, to support its operating costs and fund its charitable endeavors.

The Rotary eClub of Hunterdon Horizon is very excited to make technology progress and bring improvements to its members. As an officially chartered eClub of Rotary International, an eClub offers all of the traditional benefits of Rotary: vocational fellowship; participation in a global community of concerned business people; and, most importantly, the opportunity to contribute to community service and charitable giving at the local, regional, and international levels.

By participating in weekly online forums on engaging topics (our “eMeetings”), we eliminate the travel, scheduling, and extra meal and facility costs of weekly in-person meetings. At the same time, members of the Rotary eClub of Hunterdon Horizon are eligible to visit any Rotary Club internationally, whether a traditional “in-person” meeting or another online club. We receive Rotary International magazine, enjoy fellowship with other concerned business owners, and have opportunities for vocational networking and community service.
